Predecessor for eGovernment

When the Swedish authorities have a developed eGovernment - it will ease the lives for citizens and businesses. It will be as simple as possible for as many as possible to exercise their rights and to complete their obligations, and benefit from the services of the eGovernment.  

The development of e-services is a vital part. E-services should:

• be easy to use and find
• manage to be used in a secure way, provide transparency, be accessible and managed with selected tools
• be conducted by the users' needs 

The preconditions to reach a well functioning eGovernment are cooperating authorities with focus on the users.

The Geodata Cooperation is a predecessor for eGovernment

The Geodata Cooperation is a unique collaboration between authorities which is a novelty within the field of eGovernment. The Swedish Ordinance on spatial information requires cooperation between authorities - making this a pioneering work.
