Environmental research on how pollution is spread between different countries through the air and the water requires access to - and the opportunity to compare and combine - information from a variety of different data sources.

With a single point of entry, the Geodata Portal, to search for and access information, we will be better placed to conduct research across organisational boundaries and national borders, and over long periods of time. This will lead to more reliable research results and increased sustainability.
