Searching the Geodata Portal

How do I search the Geodata Portal?

You can search the Geodata Portal by using text, categories, map, name, time-line or co-ordinates. The search is made in a metadata catalogue which contains information on geodata.

The Geodata Portal is a search function - searching in the metadata catalogue. The Portal does not contain any other data than metadata.

How do applications search the Geodata Portal?

The Geodata Portal has a standardised interface, Catalogue Service for the Web (CSW), which makes it possible for applications to search the metadata catalogue - machine to machine search. CSW version 2.02.

Applications can use the information in the metadata catalogue via the interface CSW.
