Using geodata and services
To use geodata you need to sign a license for the right to use the geodata. The license is to be signed with respective geodata supplier.
Some geodata products are admission free while others require an admission, depending on how the geodata producers are financed.
The use of geodata within data sharing
The parties of the Geodata Cooperation access geodata via so called geodata sharing. Data sharing grants the use of all geodata in the Product Catalogue for public use.
A plain license restrain the use of geodata which is admission free, within the data sharing. (Though there might be a cost for delivery.) The plain license present possibilities for wide usage with restricted distribution to other parts.
A framework for usage direct the requirements for the use of geodata which is subject to admission within the data sharing.
Metadata describe restrictions
The Geodata Portal presents existing geodata and the organisation accountable for the data. The Metadata Catalogue of the Portal presents if there are restrictions for usage, and if the geodata is subject to admission.
Actors who offer their geodata in the Geodata Portal - via the Contribution Agreement - are recommended to follow the framework for usage in the Business model. The framework contains a number of defined user cathegories with mutual terms.
